Brian Norton

Shareholder/ Director

With a career spanning management consulting, property development, large-scale infrastructure delivery and investment in broad ranging start-ups, Brian has core expertise in capital investment and development. Initially training as a Quantity Surveyor, Brian has since held various directorships in private and listed companies, including the UK’s first residential REIT. Brian has been fortunate enough to travel around the world advising on major multi-million and billion pound projects. Between 2009 and 2011, Brian and his family undertook a circumnavigation. Upon his return, Brian founded UK property development company Cleanslate Ltd, a successful residential development company. Brian continues to seek adventure and is a keen sailor and skier.

Sheila Norton

Shareholder/ Director

Sheila has over 20 years experience in the healthcare sector, having worked as a midwife and a Nursing Officer in the British Army (QARANC) in the UK, the Middle East and the USA. Whilst raising a family, Sheila continued this work as a hospice volunteer. In 2012, Sheila pursued her passion for sewing, textiles and colour by studying interior design. Since then, Sheila has worked for private clients and builders on a range of challenging projects, managing both concept and execution. Alongside her creative pursuits, Sheila is a keen wakeboarder and can be found at the lake even in the middle of winter!

Charlotte Norton

Shareholder

In 2019, Charlotte graduated with a 1st Class BA (Hons) in English Literature from Durham University. Throughout university, Charlotte wrote for several online and paper publications as well as organising large scale cultural events and exhibitions in the city. After graduating, Charlotte moved to Seville, Spain, to work as a translator for a tech start-up, whilst also maintaining freelance copy writing and social media roles with companies based in the UK. Pre-covid Charlotte worked as an English teacher and is now persuing a career in Art back in the UK, having completed an Art course at the prestigious City and Guilds London. In her free time, Charlotte enjoys endurance running, competing in ever longer trail running ultra marathons.

Frederick Norton

Shareholder/ Operations Director

Frederick graduated in 2021 with a 1st class BSc (Hons) in Materials Science at the University of Manchester. He has run several materials technology based projects including an Award-winning Advanced Graphene Technology Startup, Nanocomb. Frederick is self taught on investment stategies for both personal and commercial investment and is now undertaking accreditied financial qualifications. In addition, Frederick gained a Level 5 Award in Management and Leadership from the Chartered Management Institute through the Sandhurst Officer Training Corps. A keen sportsman, he partakes in Ultra Endurance, Martial arts and Obstacle Racing. As of September 2022 he will be training as an Officer in the Royal Marines.

Annabelle Norton

Shareholder/ Project Manager

Annabelle is studying an MA in Business with Marketing at the University of Edinburgh. Having latterly held an administrative role at Cleanslate Ltd, Annabelle is now responsible for the management company, organising services on site, establishing contracts and maintaining good customer care. Annabelle also has experience in public speaking, copy writing and private enterprise. Annabelle is a keen traveller and recently completed a marine conservation placement in Belize, where she was able to use her love of the sea to make a positive impact.

Jeremy Hakim

Finance Director/ Company secretary

Jeremy is a Chartered Accountant who qualified in 1973. He worked in Public Practice until 2009 when he took off to sail around the world, where he met the Norton Family and we became firm friends.

On return to the UK he worked with Brian Norton as his Finance Director for 7 years at Cleanslate. He now has the role of Finance Director and Company Secretary of Avid Projects, acting as a mentor to the young shareholders and looking after our interests.
